Bladder Cancer/Invasive/High Grade

Bladder Cancer/Invasive/High Grade

Update…6-20-04
My dad had his surgery this past Wednesday…They took the bladder, pelvic lymph nodes, and prostate. Everything looked good, but they still have to test it. His surgery was almost 7 hours long! He has been given morphine, and it made him hallucinate and act aggressive! He is now on atavan for anxiety, and a drug called dialadin (sp?) We are happy that we have our dad here on Father’s Day, but he is still in the hospital 5 days after his surgery. I think it will be a long recovery…

Now, September…Dad is adjusting well to his urostomy bag…Oncologist took a CAT scan & bone scan…They see something on his hip…Now he will have a MRI next week, to see what it is…Arthritis or cancer…again! We pray it’s not more cancer. Everything else looked OK, except they did see spots (“non-specific”)…Doctor is recommending preventative chemo…for those…and possibly more if the hip is cancerous.
