bladder cancer, urothelial cells, stage T1 with invasion to lamina propria, grade II

My partner, Tim, (43 years old, male) was recently diagnosed (2 weeks ago) with bladder cancer. They removed a 5 cm tumor from his bladder, have diagnosed it as T1, grade 2 urothelial carcinoma. We do not yet have an oncologist, but are looking for one and would like any suggestions about treatment that has worked, important questions you ask of your doctor, other things to rule out (we insisted that he have a chest xray and abdominal CT scan), alternative therapies, etc. etc. We are scared and sad and would also like to connect with others who have faced this.
