Jim,

Do you have anything to report on the recent tests? I was just curious.

Judy - Wife of bladder CA

Hello Lou,

Our stint in Morgan Hill was the result of an assignment while I was still in the USMC. I was studying Arabic in Monterrey, and my wife was finishing her undergraduate degree in San Jose. We lived in Morgan Hill because it was in the middle, although my wife got considerably better of the commute. We both barely spent any daylight hours in town during the workweek, were only there for a year and a half, and were, unfortunately, unable to enjoy the community by becoming real members of it. I run across other current and former residents every now and then, though. I understand it has grown quite a bit. It was always a nice, pleasant town where people knew and cared for each other, unlike many of the pretty anonymous Southern California coastal communities. In any event, I didn't know your uncle, but I'm sure I would have if we'd been able to spend more time there.

Thanks for your interest and your note. Best of luck to you and yours.

r/

Jim - jhs

Jim,

I just read your post and noticed you mentioned living in Morgan Hill previously, and that is a familiar place because my father's brother lived there until he passed away a couple years ago. His name was and still is even though he's gone, Arley Heinze, perhaps you're familiar as he was apparently very active in the community. More than likely you're not, but just thought I'd mention it.

Lou - Lou Graham

Hello Alyssa,

Thank you for your interest and your good wishes. Congratulations on your good results on your cysto - that's a very strong, positive sign. I hope your husband gets whatever medical attention he may need. We (men) can be babies about this sort of thing, but we don't display our manliness by denying reality nor do we betray it by seeking out medical attention when we have health issues we don't understand. But we tend to deny that, also. That's why we generally need adult supervision in the form of our wives.

We lived in Morgan Hill for a while. I was assigned in Monterrey and my wife was finishing her undergraduate degree in San Jose. We loved the area. Best wishes for you and your husband.

r/

Jim

- jhs

Jim

I just read your story. It sounds like you are in excellent hands. Your type of tumor poses quite the dillema. I wish you and your wife the best. I know it can be very challenged to have a spouse who is ill. My 'tough firefighter' husband has been having some health problems and it has been very difficult to watch. Partly because he is in denial. I started to call his doctor to report on how he is doing! You are obviously being very pro active and your wife sounds very supportive. I just had my first three month cysto with no reccurance! I wish you all the best. I hiope you enjoy California while you are here. My husband and I live in northern California.

Take care,
Alyssa - Alyssa

Thank you for keeping us informed. I know the next couple of days will be stressful to some extent. I do wish you the best and you are still in our prayers. My husband Bob is doing good. He is 3 years after his radical. Again, thanks for the post and look forward to more updates. :)

Judy - Wife of bladder CA
