Jeff,

I love your emoticons and am so pleased that your are doing so well.

I have another round of 3 BCG's in 6 months. The next cystoscopy is in December.
My experience is that each successive BCG becomes increasingly more miserable.
Therefore, I am more than ready for that 6 month break

Thanks for checking in on me. :)

Hope to hear from you again,

Rosemary - Rosemary

Hi Rosemary

I just came in to update my story and thought I would have a look at what you have been up to since I last came here back in August. I am sorry for the pain you went through during the BCG maintenance period but it would seem the worst is over for now. Please stay positive. It does help I believe. I just had my first 3 week BCG maintenance treatment a couple of days ago and found a little blood in my urine that evening but gone now. There was also a bit of pain with this BCG treatment. Both of these symptoms were absent when I had the initial 6 weeks earlier this year. You will see from "my story" the Uro saw (and so did I on the tv) some inflamation in the bladder and he figured this was from the previous BCG so this might have caused my pain. Perhaps yours is a similar story. I am also noticing this time I get a continual and urgent need to pee and sometimes have to run to the toilet but there is little urine to pass.

Please stay in touch and continue to stay well

Kind regards

Jeff [smiley=thumbsup.gif] [smiley=beer.gif] - Jeff

Yes Rosemary, it sounds like you and my husband's schedule are similar. I think I remember reading that you were diagnosed in Feb. 06. He was diagnosed 3 months before that. Like you, he has never smoked so we can't figure out what may have contributed to the cancer. We were in total shock when we heard the diagnosis. He has a very positive attitude and is thankful the last BCG is over (at least for 6 months). I'm sure you are too! Take care.

Nancy - yosemite05
