Grade IV, invasive, Radical Cystectomy, Cancer got out of bladder. shocked the doctor, survived for almost 5 years and going simi strong.

In July 2000, I woke up one morning and pee'ed blood. I went to the VA Hospital in Denver, and was told that they suspected cancer. I had a IVP test, that showed a growth on the left side of my bladder. In August 2000 I had a cystoscope, it showed two tumors in my bladder. In August 2000, I had two cystoscope surgeries, three weeks apart. I was told that I had grade 3 bladder cancer. In November and December 2000, I got six BCG treatments

Bladder Cancer, Grade I-II of III, TA, non-invasive. Very Large, covered 3/4 of bladder. Papillary TCC. no treatments yet, watch closley.

1st recurrence, Aug. 4, 1999, approx. 1 1/2 years out, right uretual papillar TCC, T1, Grade II of III. Non-invasive, I'm still lucky. No treatments yet, watch closley.
2nd recurrent, Sept. 11, 2000, 1 year later. Biopsy report #1. Bladder, anterior dome, papillar TCC T1, Grade I-II of III, TCC, non invasive. report #2. right ureter Grade I-II of III, TCC, non invasive. Stent inplanted in right ureter. Begin BCG treatments in one month.

Low grade Noninvasive 4cm+ Papillary Tumor

Diagnosed with TCC in August of 2000 after 3 episodes of hematuria over 9 months. Complained to primary doctor who waited until 3rd episode to order IVP. 4 cm mass removed. Reoccurrence about size of 2 matchheads removed in Dec of 2000 Jan/Feb of 2001 6 wks of BCG. No maintenance.

Cystoscopies every three months for last two years were clear. Since the two year mark has been reached I moved to 6 month cystos.

June 9, 2003 first 6 month cysto clear. December 8, 2003 Cysto clear. June 7, 2004 cysto clear. That makes 3 1/2 years of all clear. Next

3 non invasive tumors size of a quarter

no recurrance in three years, taking BCG treatments and recently had increase in PSA reading.( from 4 to 11.5) Dr. said could be from BCG treatments. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks, Lou

After two biopsies my doctor has assured me my high psa is due to the bcg treatments, my last bcg treatment was 6 months

Bladder Cancer T1,Grade II

February 1999, noticed urine was dark in color...thought it was due to too much coffee, or not drinking enough water...just ignored it. Noticed it several times more and didn't think too much about it.

In October, when I went to my internist for my annual physical the urine was dark in the morning, and I happened to mention it to her.

Three instances of non-metastisized tumors in the bladder between April 1997 and May, 2000.

During the winter of 1996 I urinated blood a couple of times while away from home for the winter. I returned home and went to my local urologist who found several superficial cancerous tumors in the bladder. They were removed in May of 97 and I went back for cysto checks every three months. Let me begin by expressing my gratitude for this excellent web site. It has been a great resource since my diagnosis.

It has been four weeks since my surgery and my recovery is going very well. Not quite back to normal yet but I can definately see the light at the end of the tunnel.

All but one of my catheters is out and yesterday I began voiding through my uretha. It has went well so far, quite a bit of dribbling at first but I am gaining more control by the hour.
