1st November - "No Abnormalities Found"  Wonderful news.  I am on to a maintenance regime now but they are not sure what period that is to be as best practise is under review.

I had my operation (their words not mine) taking biopsies on Monday 1st October and got out yesterday (2nd).  The visual looks good and there is a pink patch which looks to the experts as if it is a reaction to the BCG and nothing sinister.

This is obviously great news and in three weeks time I will get the lab results and the next steps which I hope will be to go on to a maintenance regime of BCG and regular scopes under a local not a general.

I am continuing writing my blog which is coming up to one year old now.  Whilst it is perhaps getting a little mundane or even ordinary now it still

Well what do you know - the small areas they took away were precancerous and the remainder was cancer free.  I start back on 6 BCGs next Monday.  That is brilliant news and it has taken two weeks to sink in properly.  Again, I'm keeping the blog going to show that life is beginning to get back to normal.

It has been 10 months since diagnosis and so much has happened.  I'm "over the moon" about the results and whilst I am not looking forward to the BCGs - I know that the last 6 cleared up the CIS I was left with after the first two operations.

I just had my cystoscopy on the 11th April.  I was delayed - they found my Blood Pressure was too high and so that was treated.

It looks like good news.  A very small area which was was cut out and cauterized and then the magic words - "the rest of the bladder looks fine, taken biopsies which I expect will mean we can downgrade the CIS".

The full story is on my blog and the trauma leading up to the operation, the anger at being delayed and how I used Hypnotherapy to control my life long aversion to hospitals and doctors.

I don't see myself as free of this at all and I will continue my blog to

Hello Joe and thank you for your reply.  I am glad you like the blog, I try to show as much as I can about what I am going through and hope that someone looks at it and realises that the emotions and the day-to-day are (I hope) normal and that you can get on with your life. It is the little disruptions that take some getting used to.

When I had the first operation which was only a few days after diagnosis it was graded as G3P T1 + CIS.  after the second operation with a re-resection it was CIS and I had 6 weeks BCG.  I go back in for biopsies in a little under 2 weeks time.   I am hoping for

I was diagnosed in July of 2006 and have had two TURBT and I've just finished 6 BCG instillations.  I'm waiting until March 2007 when I'll have biopsies and results.

After the first operation I sent out e-mails to my friends and one of them suggested that I start putting these messages and thoughts into a blog.  Rather than copy all that into the bladder café forum storyboards, may I invite you to drop in and see the blog at some time?  In certain places it is not for the squeamish and in other places I have no doubt it is pretty boring and mundane stuff.  I have tried throughout to say what
