Found blood in my urine on 3 occassions - urologist did cystostopy - dignoised with Superficial Bladder Cancer. TUR 10/13/05 still uncomfortable.

I would really like to speak to others who have been through this. After reading some of these posts, I feel bad complaining. I am really grateful as it could have been much worse. Must do repeat cystostopy in January. Not looking forward to this. Find It very painful and I'm scared of the possibility of re-occurance. I did stop smoking after diagnoised. Would welcome emails. Thanks, Andrea

5 years treating for overactive bladder; and then October 2005 Bladder Cancer; grade 3; stage T-1; multi-focal

I was being treated for over-active bladder for about five years by a urologist.

The weekend of 9/23/05 I noticed blood in my urine; I immediately phoned my urologist who saw me in his office that Tuesday. On 9/27/05 did a scope of the inside of my bladder that showed a tumor about the size of a cherry and other inflammed areas.

The urologist had been treating me for an "over active bladder" and slightly enlarged prostate for about five (5) years. He had tried different medications like

Initial Submission 10-20-2005 from Bob Stump

My and my wife's sanity is being preserved by being able to follow this group and consult both on and off line references you have recommended during the past 3 weeks -- during the time of my diagnostic procedures. I would like to introduce myself to other members of the group and offer to share my experiences as we proceed on this unchosen path with others in the bladder cancer cafe.

Recent history:

I am 60 years old with no prior history of cancer. I had one episode of

prostate and bladder cancer

Dear Brothers and Sisters of Cancer,

I need help!

In June of 2002 I had a prostatectomy (cancer) and a large diverticulm (with cancer) removed from my bladder. After surgery I was able to resume all normal functions. In Nov. 2004 I had high grade muscle invasive bladder cancer. Radical cystectomy Nov. 2004, no attempt at nerve sparing. Currently I am mostly contient during the day and completely incontinent at night. I am also impotent.
My surgen is strongly recommending both a penile implant and a schincter implant with a pump beside each testicle. (out-patient

Bladder Cancer ( unclear of grade or stage at this point.) Surgery scheduled for Aug 9/05.

Intermittent hematuria x 1 year. History of Hemaraghic cystitis 15 years ago due to prolonged use of cyclophosfemide. Cervical carcinoma in-situ in 1976 resulting in hysterectomy. Recurrance to vaginal vault 1 year ago and treated with laser. Cystology showed abnormal cells. Bladder biopsy confirmed CA. On day of biopsy discussed chemo with BCG with me...but when giving me biopsy results this week...stated " we will decide on treatment when pathology is returned on the tumour." Sounds like things might

Invasive BC stage 2 grade 3

I had not had a bladder infection since I was a child. But on April fools day of 2004 I knew that was what it was from the start. So on the antibiotic I went and thought that would be that. Wrong….. five antibiotics later found me telling asking my Internist for a good Urologist. By this time I could see blood in my urine. The CT scan and sonogram showed something in the bladder. On Aug. 6th 2004 at 47 I was diagnosed with invasive bladder cancer stage 2 grade 3. My local Urologist wanted to do immediate surgery to remove the bladder, uterus, ovaries, and portion

superficial non-invasive

Christmas Day 2004, suddenly began to pee blood - no discomfort, no pain - baffled!
Went to see my GP ASAP - recommended I type 'Haematuria' into browser and read up on possible causes - of course I found 'Bladder Cancer' to be the most probable cause. This was confirmed after a cystoscopy a week later. A few weeks later I was admitted into Addenbrookes Hospital where I agreed to have an epidural and watched the whole operation on a monitor - very interesting it was too. The whole thing went very smoothly and I've felt perfectly well through out. I had a small set

Uretar Cancer and then Bladder cancer

I was diagnosed with cancer of the uretar in Sept. o4. The cancer was immediately removed, along with a kidney, which I understand us standard procedure to prevent further spreading. (The cancer was a stage 1 ) In Dec. '04 I went back for my first scope after the surgery and 12 bladder cancers were found. The cancers were immediately removed and I finished 6 weeks of BCG. I go back on 3/8/05 to see if the BCG worked. I'm praying for great
