Hi my name is Sharon I was dignosied with Bladder Cancer Dec 2003 finally after a year of going to Dr,s whom seem to think I was crazy. I went thru 2 BCG treatments and it seem to go into remission then in Jan of 2008 came back this time with a vegance. The Dr had me to another round of BCG and it didn't seem to help, so now he has passed me on the another Dr .

So I guess my questions is the new Dr has scheduled me to have my bladder replaced with the Neo-Bladder and gave me this web site to look at. My surgery is scheduled for Sept 4th. After reading the blogs my worry is I don't see where

Hello, my name is Charlotte I am 38 and have two children 12 and 8 years old. I used to worry about my husband getting lung cancer since both his father and grandfather died at an early age from it. We both quite smoking cigarets 11 years ago. He still has an occasional cigar.

In January 2007, the bleeding became continuous. I went to my present primary care doctor and was told that I should take antibiotics and see if it improved. I called back when the big clots started coming but was told (by a nurse) to just keep my regular appointment. I didn't get to that appointment because I had to go to the hospital with "frank bleeding."  I got a referral to a urologist while hospitalized and had a tur after being transferred to a hospital repaired enough to do it. Susan - delayed diagnosis
A volunteer at my church helped me find WebCafe and its forum. My bladder cancer has spread to my liver and lungs, maybe a bone. i was supposed to have a radical cystectomy this month (Dec. '07), but we cancelled it after the MRIi report. Now, I'm getting chemotherapy (taxol and genzar). MVAC didn't work for me. Radiation did shrink my primary tumor.

I am told my case is "difficult" because of the late stage of discovery/tur/diagnosis (Stage 3, fat invasive) the sarcomatoid variant, and now the spreading. I know it is difficult -- I just want to be seen as important

IVE BEEN SKIING
We have had a fantastic time I honestly couldnt believe how great and how well I felt.Promising myself this holiday was the thing that kept me focused when things were not so great.
I wasnt The Herminator or anything but skied every morning with my long suffering husband then had lunch before taking my little boy back to the hotel where we both had a nap.Most days we went back out to have the last few runs with Steve and the girls or play in the snow we even went toboganning.We went to Lech in Austria which was just perfect.The snow was lovely and the resort picture postcard

In May I thought I had my first ever dose of cystitis I congratulated myself on never having it before and being a pharmaceutical rep instead of going to my Gp or pharmacy for treatment pinched samples from a fellow rep to treat it.It didnt work and two weeks later I went to my Gp by now I was pretty uncomfortable with symptoms of retention and bladder fullness.He gave me antibiotics and sent me away.

Hello
I was just wondering if there is anyone out there in the same position as me... I had a complete cystectomy aged 6 months and had USM done, then redone when I was 3 yrs old. I had chemotherapy but not radiotherapy.
I have never had a problem with malignancies and am about 90% continent. I have had a partial nephrectomy though (aged 12), kidney stones, and have lost count of the number of UTI's I've had. Usually hospitalised annually due to pylenophritis but overall kidney function is pretty good considering.

Update Sept 2005-Five Years,four months and still doing great! "Ditto" my Nov 2004 update.
Update Nov 2004: Cat scans, chest x-ray, urine cytology, blood work, etc. all indicate "no evidence of disease" ... Indiana Pouch works great! Never any infections or other problems. I give credit to superior surgical skill and blessings from above.

aggressive grade 4,

Hello Everyone,

My husband Jack was diagnosed with grade 4 bladder cancer 3 weeks ago. CAT & bone scan have
come back negative. This web-site has been a great source of information and inspiration.
Thank you to all who have shared your experiences!
This whole situation is so new to us (still trying to dicipher all the abbreviations & terms etc.)
If anyone would care to share advise, I would be very glad to hear from you.

Right posterior wall bladder tumor

In 1998, my Dad Chester at age 71 was diagnosed with an elevated PSA level. The Urologist at Hackensack University Medical Center, which he was sent to for consultation, told him he was a prime candidate for prostate cancer. The recommendation was to receive Lupron injections and undergo radiation treatments.
