I just had my one year all clear cysto yesterday! We are going to continue with a cysto every three months for the next year. The uro told me that I have about a 60% chance of reoccurance and less than a 20% chance that if the cancer comes back it would become invasive. For now everything looks good!

Well, I've been thru two of the BCG treatments so far and haven't had many issues. �Some pain while urinating and some general aches the following day, but nothing worse then a mild flu. �I did have some headaches after the first treatment, but I think that was from nerves about the whole thing. �The catheter for installing the BCG is no worse then getting a three month scope. �Four more to go, and hopefully those little tumors will be held at bay for a while.......:)

My Poke-and-peeks have been clean for a year up until today. My Dr found five new tumors had develop. He started to zap them in his office, but it became quite uncomfortable so we have decided to do this in the hospital with me put under anestisia. 3/20/07 - Well it's been over a year since I logged on to the webcafe. Just thought I'd update... Last scope was August 2006 and the doc said don't come back for a YEAR! I'm feeling great, eating right and exercising 3-4 times a week.

1/16/2006 - It's been a busy 6 months. I've had two scopes (Oct 05 & today) and both were clear! Doc says don't come back for six months - Yippee!

Low grade Noninvasive 4cm+ Papillary Tumor

Diagnosed with TCC in August of 2000 after 3 episodes of hematuria over 9 months. Complained to primary doctor who waited until 3rd episode to order IVP. 4 cm mass removed. Reoccurrence about size of 2 matchheads removed in Dec of 2000 Jan/Feb of 2001 6 wks of BCG. No maintenance.

Cystoscopies every three months for last two years were clear. Since the two year mark has been reached I moved to 6 month cystos.
