My mom was diagnosed with stage 1 non-ivasive bladder cancer last year.

My mom was diagnosed early last year with the non-invasive stage 1 tumor on her bladder wall. She went 9 months with clean exams every three months. October 2005 she was diagnosed again with another tumor, that hadn't invaded the wall. The doctor removed that one and She did 6 weeks of BCG and went for a 6 week post treatment check-up yesterday. The doctor saw somthing on the cystoscopy and she has to go in for another biopsy next week. I don't know what to tell her anymore, the doctor doesn't know why the BCG failed and I

Found blood in my urine on 3 occassions - urologist did cystostopy - dignoised with Superficial Bladder Cancer. TUR 10/13/05 still uncomfortable.

I would really like to speak to others who have been through this. After reading some of these posts, I feel bad complaining. I am really grateful as it could have been much worse. Must do repeat cystostopy in January. Not looking forward to this. Find It very painful and I'm scared of the possibility of re-occurance. I did stop smoking after diagnoised. Would welcome emails. Thanks, Andrea

5 years treating for overactive bladder; and then October 2005 Bladder Cancer; grade 3; stage T-1; multi-focal

I was being treated for over-active bladder for about five years by a urologist.

The weekend of 9/23/05 I noticed blood in my urine; I immediately phoned my urologist who saw me in his office that Tuesday. On 9/27/05 did a scope of the inside of my bladder that showed a tumor about the size of a cherry and other inflammed areas.

The urologist had been treating me for an "over active bladder" and slightly enlarged prostate for about five (5) years. He had tried different medications like

News Update:  As of mid-December - Kev passed his first 3 months poke&peek.  They did some testing on kidneys because of suspect pain - but nothing to worry about right now.  will just have to keep monitoring it.  Next appt is March 1 or 3rd 2006.

Plus we are new grandparents - child #4 - preemie - but healthy!!!! :D :P

Invasive BC stage 2 grade 3

I had not had a bladder infection since I was a child. But on April fools day of 2004 I knew that was what it was from the start. So on the antibiotic I went and thought that would be that. Wrong….. five antibiotics later found me telling asking my Internist for a good Urologist. By this time I could see blood in my urine. The CT scan and sonogram showed something in the bladder. On Aug. 6th 2004 at 47 I was diagnosed with invasive bladder cancer stage 2 grade 3. My local Urologist wanted to do immediate surgery to remove the bladder, uterus, ovaries, and portion

Christmas Day 2004, suddenly began to pee blood - no discomfort, no pain - baffled!
Went to see my GP ASAP - recommended I type 'Haematuria' into browser and read up on possible causes - of course I found 'Bladder Cancer' to be the most probable cause. This was confirmed after a cystoscopy a week later. A few weeks later I was admitted into Addenbrookes Hospital where I agreed to have an epidural and watched the whole operation on a monitor - very interesting it was too. The whole thing went very smoothly and I've felt perfectly well through out. I had a small set

86 year old with bladder Ca.

My mother's first cystoscopy--this week--revealed over 12 tumors in her bladder. The Dr. clearly and openly indicated that he was sure that they are malignant. He commented on how old and fragmented some of them looked. He's scheduled a TUR for her in two weeks.

She has a pronounced personality disorder (Not Alhz) and can be argumentative and very difficult for people to deal with--she's been downplaying these symptoms but in general has been stoic about past health problems, pain, etc. to the point of masochism during my whole life experience with her. It's a
