  I would like to tell you all about a treatment I have finished. First a brief history of my case. Please forgive my spelling. I am a male 57 years old born and raised in Michigan. Never had a bad heath problem. I also work consruction and am conciderd very heathy. Some say like a man of mid 30. This is long and I think worth the read.

Hi all. I was on this site, reading and posting, back in 2004, early 2005. I had my first experience with bladder cancer in June 2004.

Female, age 47 then (50 now)

Single 3 cm tumor, T1 (almost T2a, but dodged that bullet by a fortunate layer or two of cells), grade 2/3. TURBT on June 4, 2004 & quit smoking the night before surgery, haven't touched one since. Re-TURBed early July to be sure the muscle wall was not involved. No invasion of the muscle wall.

Hello everyone.

I just had my first post-immunotherapy cytoscopy yesterday (14NOV06). The doctor said the previous TURB site looked good, but noted the presence of a "small tumor" about an inch away. The rest of the bladder surface was clean. He told me that, based on his visual inspection, he believes the tumor is cancerous, but only a pathology exam can determine what grade it is. Hello fellow BC survivors

It has been some time since I last reported and there have been a few developments since my encouraging news in early August. It's all good news I am pleased to say.

In October I had another P&P which looked really good apart from a little inflamation within the bladder, which the Uro said was probably from the BCG I had back in March this year. I have just started a 3 week (once a week) maintenance BCG course and then I have to have my urine cytology done and another P&P in 3 months time.

I am still taking my 52mcg of Selenium tablets each day along with my bee pollen

HEY IM STILL ALIVE,

Sorry havent been thinking too much about this forun, been too busy feeling like I already died and thought I was in hell(it was just the Kids playing the Wife up). No seriously(Note that I can now be a bit lighthearted), been nearly 3 months since I had the neobladder  surgery and I must say that the surgeon has done an astounding job. The new Bladder  works 95% like the old one and I am dry at night(mostly). Unfortunately they was a few cancer cells detected in one of the lymph nodes that was removed so apparently the recurrence of the cancer is still 50/50.

Thought I'd provide a quick update.  October 10th will be 7 weeks post-op for me.  

At week 5 the Super Pubic tube was removed... my last.  This was a bitter sweet moment.  I was not a fan of the tube, but I knew after this, I was on my own.  Evenings have been trying.  At first, I was setteing alarms to go off every 90-120 minutes.  I have since extended that to a schedule I worked out through tracking progress.  I find that a log of bedtime, waking time along with rating success with continence AND how well I felt  I was able to void a good tool.  While I am still not confident and continent

I can only say that I wish I had found this site around 6/22/06.  It’s wonderful to hear the stories of others and read through the forum links.  BC is not well known so when I found out, I truly felt alone.  Since everyone has their own tale and no two are alike, I thought I’d share mine with you.  If it deems posting, I’d be happy to hear from anyone with any question.
