Ok, They were very surprised to find path results come back that the muscle was clear, although they said they are extremly suspect that there may still be muscle involvment expecilly as it is in the ureta,
options given were
1. chemo & bcg. They said(the cancer could still progess whilst on chemo) & (it wont work if there is muscle involvement)
2. surgery rc ileal conduit or neo bladder
So dad has chosen to go ahead with surgery,(ileal conduit) which should take place in the next 2-4 weeks at a hospital thats about 3 hours from home.
So we are hoping that every thing goes well.

Well tomorrow is d day, we'll find out what Dads options are, he has to be at the hospital at 8.30am for the appointment, we live around 2 hours from the hospital so we will be on the road quite early. I will update further after tomorrow.

Hi All
It seems so long since I updated this I thought it was time to add a bit to it.
Life is pretty good I have settled back into work with no real issues but I have decided to stay part time.I am really enjoying the extra time that gives me with the children and I still seem to get tired if I do too much.That might just be age getting to me though or just a normal Mum thing trying to work keep the house tidy cook and run round after three lively kids.

Thank you all for your kind words, He did have many tests done when his symtoms returned 2.5 years ago, dont know all med terms but this included a body scan with the dye or contrast insurted. When he seen the new specialist recently he mentioned that he should be having these tests done every 2 years. At first mum was upset that he had'nt had these scans ordered at christmas, but now she is thankful that he has had the scans now, as if he had of had them at christmas & nothing showed up, it would have been a further 2 years before these tests were preformed again. Hi All,
I am new to this forum, my father was first diagnosed some 15 years ago with bladder cancer, he had had some symptoms 19 months previous to this diagnosis & had tests done, doc said things were fine, when he seen a different doc (for work check up) 18 months later & mentioned that he had had the symptoms 18 months previous, his new doc asked did he see a specailist? My urologist returned in January. He was unaware of what had happened until I spoke to him. His response was that he was not concerned about the stricture. My story begins 8 years before I had bladder cancer. Well another poke and peek and even I could see it looked great in there. Not a sign of any problems and the bladder was the best it had looked since this all started. This was tremendous news given I am recovering from a spinal fusion from 7 weeks ago. Next P & P in 9 months.....yippeeeee!!!

Well my journey back to the real world continues.It was my first day back at work today I spent the day with a trainer to try and bring me back up to speed and will be with him again tomorrow.It feels really odd almost as if I have never been away but at the same time it feels as if its part of a different world.

Well I have finally got the all clear again.Its been a scary few weeks and I have really struggled to hold it all together. But we managed it eventually after going this morning for a more detailed scan my consultant seemed happy that currently all is clear.He was concerned about the swelling in my leg and pain I keep getting in my pelvic bone together with some abnormal blood results and my lack of weight gain.As you can see if you put it all together it doesnt look promising hence the scary.
