Leigh's Journey With Bladder Cancer

Posted by: Leigh in bladder cancer on Print PDF

The echo scan has left me worried as a 2cm mass was found inside my new bladder, the radiologist was unsure of what it could be. He was a very nice man and tried to calm me with his gentle voice.

To get a clearer picture he also took a standard x-ray but this did not make it any clearer for him as to the makeup of the mass. He would like the Urologist to have a look at it tomorrow also.

So when I call at 10:00 in the morning I will hear what the next steps are going to be if any.

Of course I feel downhearted about this but will try not to worry too much.

The battle goes on…..

Hi,
Not sure where to start. Looking for some similarities with my brother's bladder cancer and not finding any. He will not get on this site to search. I hope that someone can give me some answers. Brother was diagnosed with bladder cancer December of 2007.Had it removed Jan 2008. Him and his girlfriend came to live with me for a while and her recuped. Moved to Maine that summer and diligently went for his 3 months cystoscopys. Last one was positive. Went from superficial to squamous cell. Need more info. He seems to think it is a death sentence. He has pain in his upper back/neck. We all tend to exaggerate when we are scared. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I can not find much on squamous cell bladder cancer.
Thank you!
