BC 12/29/03 - Deep Muscle Invasive TCC 1/15/04

I've just had my three year follow-up appointment (5/18/2007) with my surgeon, Dr. Rizk El-Galley, and everything is great. No evidence of disease on my ct scan or chest x-ray, and all my labs are normal.  I've been taking vitamin B-12 injections since last August as my most recent blood levels had been low (May 2006), this is something all persons with a neobladder have to eventually deal with.  However this is nothing to be alarmed about and is quite easy to manage by ones self.
I've been off the board for sometime and am still finding it difficult to get back to what I have so enjoyed in the past, but part of the problem here has been that I have lost three family members (Mother, Father, and Sister) in 387 days (30 October 2005 - 12 January 2006 - 21 November 2006). However there is a new deal in the mix that those of you who have known my postings here will find a surprize.  I am in the process of divorcing my husband of 33 years, but this is probably going to be the best thing I've done for myself in a very long time.  It may even help me get back to contributing to this wonderful forum.  I do miss helping others as I did in the past, and it helped me in the process.
Thank you all so very much for all of your help in the past, I look forward to a more settled life in the near future.

Dear Lou,

I have been missing your presence for some time now, glad to see your follow up and that you're doing well. I'm am so sorry about the losses you've suffered this past year, it's a lot to bear. And yes, I'm beyond shocked at the idea of divorcing after 33 years, but there must be a helluva reason for it, and I was glad to read you feel it's in your best interest, then it must be your choice as well. Good...

Wishing you nothing but happiness and health,
Wendy

Lou,
So glad you are back. I know there are many others like me who were calmed by your comforting, imformative and caring replies to all of our problems, fears and concerns. I always think of you every time Josh starts to sing You Raise Me Up.
You have come to , what I am sure was a difficult decision and I wish you much happiness, peace, contentment and continued good health.
Blessings....Jean

Wendy & Jean,

Thank you both for your words of encouragement concerning my newest challenge, a challenge that I know will bring me back to a better more positive way of living. I do expect that this more positive existence will bring me back to the Forum where I can get back to helping others like myself or anyone who is facing a challenge I might have some experience with.
Thanks again...

Lou
