CIS, not into bladder wall yet.

March 31, 2003. "It's back.............". I thought I was doing so well!! Felt better than I've felt in the past 12 months. BUT, last cysto (10 days ago) revealed BCG treatments were "not working" per doc. So, I have an appt. with Dr. Smith at Vanderbilt next Monday, 4/6/03. My "local doc" who has administered the BCG treatments, off and on for past 12 months, says it's time to review my options. WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS????? My thoughts, today, are that if they remove the bladder, and I have to wear that @#*@ bag, I'd just as soon let the cancer take over. Seriously. I'm only 32 years old!! I've never smoked or been around chemicals. The doctor says my CIS can turn very quickly and invade the bladder wall. So, come on guys, what are my options???? I have to wait 6 friggin' days until I see m specialist at Vanderbilt. I may be crazy by then, and it won't matter......any words of advise would be helpful. MH
