My story of Bladder Cancer

Posted by: Rosemary in bladder cancer on Print PDF

I'm going for biopsy # 3 tomorrow.

The doc called tonight to see if I were jittery or had any questions.

I asked him if he would be giving me the mitomycin if he didn't see anything in there, and at first he asked me if I wanted him to give it (?) but before I could answer, he said, "that's a good question." and then he started talking and said "only if there were residual", but if he didn't see anything, then "no" he wouldn't give it...

I asked if he were going to do a quick path on the specimen, and he said "no"
because you get a better grade of specimen without the quick freeze...

So, I will be thinking of all of you at some point tomorrow....

Hi Rosemary

Good luck tommorrow!  I hope there is no need for the mitocyin.

Rosemary,

Thanks for your kind words, and I have you in my thoughts as well.  That's really terrific that your doctor called you the night before your exam, he must be pretty terrific.  Terrific also that he acknowledged your question as being good and his answer sounded right up front, or so it seems to me just reading your accounting of it.
I just know tomorrow will be good for you, positive thinking is a very powerful tool.

Lou
