THE DOCTOR SAID IF I HAD THE BCG TREATMENTS NOW  IT COULD DO MORE HARM. WHY?  i am a 64 old female.        pat

Pat,

Hi.

My understanding of how BCG works, is that attenuated live tuberculosis produces an inflmmatory response in the bladder. So, if your bladder is already inflamed, then I see why the doctor would be concerned about doing more harm.

So, have you had any kind of treaments other than tumor removal?

Your friend,
Rosemary
