Dad started his first 6 BCG treatments on Tuesday, so we will see what the next couple of months brings, they stated that they will monitor him closely & any sign that the treatment is not working, they will do R/c, I hope they know what they are doing.

Dear Cathy,

I hope they are doing something extra to make sure the BCG hits the ureter. I also wish the pathology was clearer...but I have read more than once that in very special cases BCG can be used to treat T2 tumors, so long as the tumor has been totally removed, and that this can actually work. Let's hope they know what they are doing. If there is any sign of residual tumor at the first check up I suppose there will be no more hesitation to perform a cystectomy.
