My Story

Hi,

Here is my Story(BTW im from the UK)
I passed a blood clot out of the Blue with no other symptoms whatsoever on may 17th this year (My 42nd Birthday) late in the evening. In panic I went to the emergency room in my town and the next morning I had a cystoscopy(is that how you spell it?) and they said I had cancer or an Infection and put me on antibiotics.
10 days later the bleeding stopped(wahoo im cured?), 4 days later I go into hospital to have the ‘thing’ removed.  The urologists said straight after the operation that it was a tumour and referred me to another consultant.
That Guy said it was a highly agressive and invasive type of tumour and referred directly to another consultant/surgeon.
I have just seen the new guy who after some research by myself appears to be highly skilled and respected in this field. Anyway after some discussion I am booked in for a bladder removal/reconstruction on the 18th July(13 days from now).
Although this post is short and sweet it does not convey the panic, anger, sadness and trauma all this has caused to myself my wife and my family.

At the moment I am coping by using the Homer Simpson method, I just pretend it isnt happening to me.

I WILL LIVE, I LOVE MY WIFE AND MY CHILDREN TOO MUCH TO DIE NOW.

I will keep you posted, hopefully I will calm down soon and put something more useful in this forum, just needed to vent….Thank You………..
