Superficial-stage 1.
Went thru another poke and peek–clean now for over 14 months. Hopefull the TCC is a thing of the past. Got my fingers crossed.
Now I am facing a different cancer–adenocarcinoma of the prostate. I am scheduled for a radical prostatectomy on May 6. The Doc was shocked–my PSA was only 0.08. Oh well, I suppose this is what life is all about.

I have been clean from the BC for 15 months. No “poke and peek” until Oct. 13. But did a radical prostectomy last month for the adenocarcinomaof the prostate. Believe me, it was a real “bitch”. Worse than any TUR or Turp that I have ever had. The prostate was such that adenocarcinoma was in all four quadrants. Hope this makes me totally clean, from both TCC and adenocarcinoma.
August 13.
Experiencing some pain in the lower abdomen. Doc thinks that it is bladder spasams, but, I think differently. Feels just like it did before the BC was found way back when. He feels like we should wait until October for the next poke and peek. But, I feel it should be done sooner. The Detrol LA that has been prescribed has done nothing for the pain.

Tomorrow is poke and peek day. Last week I, because I am also a Type 2 Diabetic, visited the Internist who has monitored that problem for the past five years. During the visit I complained about severe abdominal pain. During the examination, where the doc felt areas of the abdomin, I almost jumped off the examining table due to the severity of the pain. Same day ultrasound disclosed an enlarged (swollen) spleen. Additionally, a blood test has disclosed that my thyroid is not functioning properly, it is underactive, requiring that I take medication to substitute the absence of the normal thyroid function. Just wondering if any one else has experience either of these problems. I would hope that the problem is not BCa related.

Great news, the poke and peek yesterday showed no BCa. Thank God. And, my recent PSA shows almost a negative number, it is below 0.01. Looks like I may be cured of both the TCC of the Bladder, and the Adenocarcinoma of the prostate. I would hope that all who read this, and whom have ben Dxed, are as fortunate as me.

Whoooops, Atypical cells showed up from the cytology. Doc did a poke and peek today. Everything looked clear, but he is unconforatable and wants to stick me in the white sheet hotel for a retro pelygram and a biopsy. He said he would also do a bladder wash with mitomycin if he saw any suspicious “spots”.

Did the biopsy on March 14, and the doc said he saw two red spots that he fulgerized. I would assume, before getting the path report, that it may be CIS. I am waiting for the results.
