Bladder cancer
I am an 85 year old man who has been in excellent health until March 2001 when I was diagonized with Bladder Cancer and also Prostate Cancer. A small tumor was removed from my bladder a year ago and I was given the 6 once a week BCG (TB related) treatments. After the first treatmernt of BCG I ran a fever for a day but had no problems at all after the following 5 treatments. My bladder was checked with a cystoscope in March 2002 and found to be clear. I am due for another check up next month.
This year I have been feeling real healthy with no restrictions. I can go all day without having to look for a bathroom. I did have my prostate reamed out 20 years ago.
For the Prostate Cancer I was given hormone shots every 3 months for 3 or 4 times. That lowered my PSA test to below 0.5 but has caused me to have hot flashes with sweats every hour for the past year. In the daytime when I am active I do not notice the Hot Flashes too much but at night, 5 to 7 times a night I have to throw the covers off for a time.
