My husband was recently diagnosed with BC. we were told originally that it was aggressive T1 high grade. The pathology report came as invasion of lamina propria in 6 sites of the bladder, with no detrusor muscle present.
Then there was an addendum that in one site there was a tissue of tumor with some bundles of smooth muscle which could indicate muscle invasion.
Not to mention that we are all pertified with fear, the doctor recommemded cystectomy if the patient can handle it, the patient is 70 years old and not in good health. My question is how are we going to be sure there is mascular invasion and is there a test to be done to determine if there is muscle intrusion?
Thank you so much
